"Saya ingin fokus dulu ke AFC dengan target tembus semifinal dan masuk Piala Dunia U-17," kata Bagus Kahfi, Kamis (16/8/2018).
Salah satu tawaran datang dari klub PSIS Semarang ketika Bagus dan dua pemain timnas asal Semarang, Arnando Ari Sutaryadi dan Kartika Vedayanto, usai bertemu Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo di Semarang, Senin (13/8/2018).
Bagus yang menjadi top skor Piala AFF U-16 ini mengatakan bahwa dia saat ini belum tertarik untuk terikat kontrak dengan klub PSIS Semarang tersebut.
Bagus juga memiliki mimpi besar bisa bermain di Liga Jepang. Menurut dia, kompetisi di Liga Jepang lebih menantang seperti yang ia lihat di media sosial YouTube. Sembari bermain sepak bola, Bagus juga ingin menimba ilmu di Negeri Sakura itu.
"Saya sering melihat lewat YouTube, Liga Jepang sangat menantang. Ada banyak pemain terbaik di dunia yang pernah merumput di sana di Vissel Kobe FC, seperti Andres Iniesta dan Fernando Torres," katanya.
Hal senada dengan adiknya, Bagas Kaffa, juga belum memutuskan untuk bergabung dengan tim mana pun.
Si Kembar kompak masih ingin membela timnas seperti yang dicita-citakan sejak kecil.
Di sisi lain, Bagas juga memilik harapan supaya sepak bola di tanah kelahirannya, Magelang, terus maju dan naik hingga ke kasta tertinggi di Liga Indonesia.
Ia juga berpesan kepada pesepak bola untuk rajin berlatih dan pantang menyerah.
"Saya sendiri akan berlatih lebih giat lagi untuk kesiapan AFC nanti. Kepada teman-teman, pesan saya terus giat berlatih, jangan cepat puas, agar tercapai cita-citanya," kata remaja kelahiran 16 Januari 2002 itu.
